Disney Aquired Marvel, Now Lucasfilm, what’s Next?

What’s next you ask?

Well I’ll have to say Disney acquired Marvel Entertainment in 2009 and made amazing movies like Ironman, Captain America, Thor, and the Avengers. On October 30, 2012 Disney bought Lucasfilm, which might not be such a bad idea besides Disney was able to turn Marvel around, so I’m not sure what the big fuss is… Lucasfilm will have a lot more resources to use and Disney already has an affiliation with their Star Wars franchise through their Disney attraction– Star Tours.

Here is a video that explains why George Lucas handed the reins over to Disney and I think he’s right.

but that’s not all the Disney wants.. Rumor has it, they might take Hasbro too. Buying Hasbro won’t guarantee Disney rights to Transformers but would acquire the right to plenty of toy rights like Monopoly, GI Joe, even Hungry Hippos.

Hasbro is also the primary retailer for Star Wars action figures and merchandise. So this rumor might be true after all.
